White Cherry Compote with Roasted Nuts, Cinnamon, and Orange Zest

Steps

1. In a small pan, melt the butter over medium heat. 2. Add the mixed nuts and toast them until golden and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside. 3. In the same pan, add the white cherries and honey. Cook gently over medium-low heat until the cherries soften and release their juices, about 5 minutes. 4. Stir in the ground cinnamon and orange zest, mixing well. 5. Remove from heat and sprinkle the toasted nuts over the compote. 6. Serve warm or at room temperature as a topping or dessert.
