Steps
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Season the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and dried thyme.
3. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
4. Sear the chicken breast for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
5. Remove chicken temporarily and set aside.
6. In the same skillet, add garlic and sliced pears; sauté for 3 minutes until pears soften.
7. Place the chicken breast back in the skillet on top of the pears.
8. Crumble goat cheese over the chicken.
9. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
10. Remove from oven, sprinkle with chopped walnuts if using, and serve warm.
