Hearty Penne with Spinach and Bacon

This penne-based main dish is a great way to fill up while being light on calories and time.

Steps

1. Start by cooking the bacon in a large pan on medium heat. 2. Once the bacon is almost cooked, throw in the garlic, spinach and salt and pepper. Continue cooking until everything is cooked but still crispy. 3. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add in the penne. Cook for 7-8 minutes. 4. Drain the penne and add in the pan with the other ingredients. 5. Stir everything together and add in the Parmesan cheese. 6. Serve and enjoy!

- 2oz whole-wheat penne - 2 strips of bacon - 2 handful of fresh spinach - 1 clove of garlic - 2 tbsps olive oil - 1 tsp Parmesan cheese - Salt and pepper to taste
