Steps
1. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2. In another bowl, whisk milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and half an egg.
3. Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
5. Using a spoon or piping bag, drop small rounds of batter into the oil.
6. Fry each donut for about 2 minutes per side until golden and fluffy.
7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
8. Allow donuts to cool slightly, then dip into colored icing.
9. Decorate with Halloween themed sprinkles.
10. Let icing set before serving.
