Steps

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a small cake pan or line with parchment paper. 2. Soak the chopped dates in warm plant-based milk for 10 minutes. 3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. 4. Add the soaked dates (with milk), vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. 5. Mix well until a smooth batter forms. 6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. 7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 8. Let the cake cool before serving.
