Steps

1. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper on both sides. 2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until it starts to foam. 3. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. 4. Place the chicken breast in the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown. 5. Flip the chicken, add the thyme (if using), and baste it with the melted butter. 6. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). 7. Remove from skillet, let it rest for a couple of minutes, then serve with lemon wedges.
