Steps

1. Season the chicken leg quarter with salt and pepper. 2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. 3. Add the chicken leg quarter and sear until browned on all sides. 4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. 5. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and minced garlic. Sauté until softened. 6. Pour in the beer and bring to a simmer. 7. Return the chicken to the skillet and cover with the beer mixture. 8. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and tender. 9. Serve the beer-braised chicken hot with the sauce.
