Steps
1. Season the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Cook the chicken breast for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
4. In a small bowl, mix the jam and soy sauce to create the glaze.
5. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, brush the jam glaze over the chicken, allowing it to caramelize slightly.
6. Remove from heat and let rest for a minute.
7. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired and serve warm.
