Pan-Seared Beef Tenderloin with Garlic Herb Butter

A tender and juicy beef tenderloin steak, pan-seared to perfection and topped with rich garlic herb butter for an elegant, flavorful meal.

Steps

1. Take the beef tenderloin out of the fridge 20 minutes before cooking to come to room temperature. 2. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. 3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. 4. Place the steak in the pan and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. 5. In the last minute of cooking, add butter, garlic, thyme, and parsley to the pan. 6. Spoon the melted herb butter over the steak continuously. 7. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain juices.
