Steps
1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
2. Drain the rice and place it in a small pot with 3/4 cup of water and a pinch of salt.
3. Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.
4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid.
5. Let the rice simmer gently for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
6. After 15 minutes, turn off the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for another 10 minutes to steam.
7. Fluff the rice gently with a fork before serving.
