These chewy banana oat cookies are a healthy and naturally sweet treat, perfect for a quick snack or a light dessert. Made with ripe bananas and rolled oats, they require minimal ingredients and are easy to prepare.

Steps

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper. 2. In a bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth. 3. Add rolled oats, honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the mashed banana and mix until combined. 4. Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using. 5. Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the baking tray and flatten slightly with the back of the spoon. 6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are golden brown. 7. Allow the cookies to cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
