Steps

1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). 2. Grease a small baking dish with butter. 3. Place the slice of bread in the dish, creating a small well in the center. 4. In a bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, salt, and pepper. 5. Pour the egg mixture into the well of the bread. 6. Grate or slice the cheese and sprinkle it generously on top of the egg. 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the egg is set and the cheese is bubbly and golden. 8. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, and enjoy your cheesy egg bread bake!
