Healthy Italian Chicken and Spinach Whole Wheat Pasta

Steps

1. Cook the whole wheat pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. 2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). 3. Add diced chicken breast to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook until fully cooked through (about 6-7 minutes). 4. Add cherry tomatoes and fresh spinach to the pan. Cook until spinach wilts (about 2 minutes). 5. Toss the cooked pasta into the pan with the chicken and vegetables. Mix well to combine and heat through. 6. Plate the pasta, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if using, and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Serve warm.
