Garlic White Wine Mussels

A classic and flavorful main dish featuring fresh mussels steamed in a garlic and white wine broth, enhanced with herbs and a touch of cream for richness.

Steps

1. Rinse the mussels under cold water, discarding any that are open and do not close when tapped. 2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat. 3. Add minced garlic and chopped shallot; sauté until fragrant and translucent. 4. Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. 5. Add the mussels to the pan, cover with a lid, and steam for 5-7 minutes until all mussels have opened. 6. Remove the lid and stir in the heavy cream and chopped parsley. 7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. 8. Discard any mussels that remain closed. 9. Serve immediately with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful broth.
