Air Fryer Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken

Steps

1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken pieces with soy sauce, rice wine, garlic powder, five-spice powder, white pepper, and sesame oil. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes. 2. After marinating, coat the chicken pieces evenly with cornstarch and potato starch. 3. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (390°F) for 5 minutes. 4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with a little oil. 5. Place the coated chicken pieces in a single layer in the basket, making sure they do not overlap. 6. Air fry for 8 minutes, then shake the basket or flip the chicken pieces. 7. Continue air frying for another 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy. 8. Remove from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
