Steps

1. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. 2. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. 3. Add sliced beef, season with salt and pepper, and stir-fry until browned but still tender, about 2-3 minutes. 4. Remove beef from pan and set aside. 5. In the same pan, add sesame oil and stir-fry broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and onion for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp. 6. Return beef to the pan. 7. Add soy sauce, mirin, and water; stir well to combine and heat through for another 1-2 minutes. 8. Remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds if desired. 9. Serve immediately, optionally with a small portion of steamed brown rice or quinoa for a complete meal.
